Sonic Flex Travel Set · Sonic Toothbrush

When used twice daily for two minutes each time, the 2200 mAh lithium battery lasts up to 90 days. The actual runtime depends on the selected intensity level — at the highest level, the runtime is reduced to about 60 days. Thanks to the constant voltage motor, the cleaning performance remains consistently strong until the next charge.

The included travel case contains a UVC LED with a wavelength of 285 nanometers. As soon as you close the lid, the UV light automatically activates for ten minutes and eliminates up to 99.9 percent of bacteria on the brush head. If you open the lid, the light immediately switches off – thus preventing skin contact with UV radiation.

Yes. The Sonic Flex supports two charging methods: wireless charging via the inductive charging station or in the included travel case while it is plugged into a power outlet. A full charge takes about 8 hours.

Sonic Flex brush heads feature color-changing bristles that fade after approximately three months, signaling that a replacement is needed. With daily use, we recommend changing them every three months—regardless of how good the bristles still look.

Compared to electric sonic toothbrushes, emmi-dent ultrasonic toothbrushes clean without mechanical movements. The patented piezo-ceramic disc (ultrasound transducer) is located in the brush head of the emmi-dent ultrasonic toothbrush. In the smart brush head, electrical energy is converted into ultrasonic waves, which are transferred to the teeth and gums via the bristles, with the help of special ultrasonic toothpastes and saliva. The ultrasound transducer is made to vibrate (up to 96 million multi-frequency oscillations). These ultrasonic waves destroy the structure of the micro-bubbles enriched in the toothpaste, they collapse and create a suction effect. This suction effect removes biofilm and plaque. The standard process of brushing teeth.

The ultrasound is neither audible nor noticeable. Nevertheless, in conjunction with a special ultrasonic toothpaste, it generates millions of tiny micro-bubbles. Thanks to their small size, these penetrate even the smallest interdental spaces, where they collapse and create a suction effect. This dissolves impurities such as biofilm and plaque. The vibrations of the ultrasonic toothbrush transport the dissolved dirt from the interdental spaces. You then simply rinse it out. The result is healthy, sustainably cleaned and smooth teeth.

Our emmi-dent ultrasonic toothbrushes are generally suitable for all people who want to gently clean their teeth and, above all, eliminate the risk of "scrubbing away" tooth enamel. Particularly suitable for people with sensitive gums, gingivitis and periodontitis, brace wearers, implant and bridge wearers, we offer ultrasonic toothbrushes for every age. Our range includes various brush heads, including an attachment for children and people with small mouths. This makes dental care playfully easy for the youngest.

Older people and individuals with motor challenges also benefit from the simple operation of the ultrasonic toothbrush. The emmi-dent Platinum Care is recommended here. Awarded the EURECERT certificate! The world's first barrier-free certified toothbrush.

The ultrasonic toothbrush also helps with bad breath by reducing bacteria to a healthy level.

We have developed a special brush head for brace wearers. The ultrasonic vibrations thoroughly clean even the inaccessible areas between teeth and braces. People with dental implants also benefit from the maximum cleaning performance of the innovative ultrasonic technology.

Electric toothbrushes include both oscillating-rotating toothbrushes, sonic toothbrushes, and ultrasonic toothbrushes. While the former usually have round brushes that rotate alternately from left to right, sonic toothbrushes are equipped with elongated, vibrating heads. With 20,000 to 40,000 oscillations per minute, they achieve significantly higher mechanical movements than oscillating-rotating brushes. Ultrasonic toothbrushes far exceed this performance and are
also a completely different technology. While oscillating-rotating and sonic toothbrushes remove biofilm with the help of mechanical movements, the emmi-dent works with up to 96 million ultrasonic oscillations per minute and requires no mechanical movements for tooth cleaning. Motionless tooth cleaning thanks to state-of-the-art ultrasonic technology.

Thus, the decisive difference lies in the type of tooth cleaning: Just like
manual toothbrushes, oscillating-rotating and sonic toothbrushes also clean teeth mechanically. This so-called macro cleaning carries a risk of injuries to gums and tooth enamel if the toothbrush is used improperly. Additionally, ultrasound is able to minimize inflammation. This is confirmed by our study.

Dental care is limited to the areas in the mouth that the oscillating-rotating or sonic toothbrush reaches. In contrast to conventional electric toothbrushes, the ultrasonic toothbrush works completely without pressure by transmitting vibrations. This ensures comprehensive cleaning of the entire oral cavity.
